Accommodation in Lamoura at the foot of the pistes
A winter sports holiday at the Hotel and Restaurant La Spatule
In winter, Les Rousses really comes alive. Between 1100 m and 1680 m in altitude, it offers a real winter wonderland at the heart of the Haut-Jura Regional Natural Park. Ideally located for skiing in the Jura Mountains, our hotel is at the foot of the cross-country skiing and sledging courses.
The resort of Les Rousses is made up of four villages - Les Rousses, Lamoura, Prémanon and Bois d’Amont. It was the first resort to be awarded the “Flocon Vert” (aka Green Snowflake, a label given to tourist destinations in the mountains dedicated to sustainable development).
Come and ski in one of the best cross-country ski areas in France and slide down the many Alpine ski slopes, including one straddling France and Switzerland. The cross-country ski area in the resort (220 km of slopes) has been given the highest award by the Nordic France label (5 Nordics for excellence in cross-country skiing, activities, service and environment).
If you prefer Alpine skiing and snowboarding, don’t worry. With a total of 50 km of pistes and 32 lifts, the Alpine ski areas surrounded by spruce forests will enchant young and old alike. You’ll be able to enjoy an exceptional view of the Alps, Mont Blanc and the Vallée du Léman from the peaks. An excellent resort for families, there are plenty of skiing options at Les Rousses with ski packages to suit all tastes.
If you’re looking to do something completely different, you can take the marked snow-shoe trails from Lamoura, go dog sledding, try skijoring (which combines the fun of skiing with the fun of horse riding) or discover biathlon with courses offered by the ski schools of Les Rousses.
